Why Japanese?

As someone who wants to pursue a career in animation, film, or games, I've always been interested in anime, manga, and Japanese video games. I practically grew up on this stuff, which inspired me to draw a lot when I was younger.

I'm also interested in the Japanese online art community and love drawing on web programs like oekaki and tegaki, so it would be really cool to be able to understand that better.

I also visited Japan a few years ago on vacation, and really enjoyed the atmosphere and culture. I'd love to go back someday and be able to find my way around.
